A Few Words About Us
Meet Dee
After a rewarding career as a State Department Foreign Service employee working with Ambassadors at US Embassies in Africa and Latin America, I decided it was time to settle down.
While working at the US Embassy in Barbados in 2005, the Peace Corps Director told me about a small city named Rock Hill that was building a great reputation as a place for retirees, and that it was affordable enough to start a successful business. After settling in, I decided to tour the city and witness the southern hospitality that's so widely spoken about in South Carolina. I am proud to say that it does exist and that I'm a part of it.
I am currently a student at Winthrop University enrolled in courses that will continue to enhance my knowledge in the field of business . It has been exciting to watch this business grow and to be a part of such a pleasant community.
The Biscuit
What was my inspiration for Dee's stuffed biscuits. I tried many of the restaurants that sold breakfast and discovered that the biscuits were okay but lacked a certain "umph". I said to myself, how can I make these biscuits more tasty and enjoyable? That's when I came up with the idea of a stuffed biscuit. I started with just three flavors of stuffing that related to breakfast only (e.g. potato, cheese & bacon combo, cranberry & sausage or bacon combo). The rest is delicious history!
